Take a scoop of your favorite ice cream.
Put the (small) scoop onto a tray covered with parchment paper.
Cover and return the tray to the freezer before it all melts. Freeze for at least 12 hours.
Add Dulce de Leche (or butterscotch sauce) to your dough.
Add your hard frozen scoop of ice cream.
Form into a beggar's purse shape.
Return to freezer for another 12 hours. Fry and serve.
Everyone loves the sound of this one, and eating it is even more fun than the anticipation.
Take a scoop of ice cream and toss it in the fryer. You won’t get fried ice cream, you will just get a mess. The trick of course is to fry the ice cream in a cover of dough. The other big trick is to make sure the ice cream is especially well frozen before you start.
Tip: Warn your guests to pop it all at once in their mouths, or it will run down their chins.
