Put strawberries and plenty of sugar into a plastic bag.
The bag makes it easy to keep the mixture stirred up.
Once the sugar has turned to liquid, add more sugar. Repeat until you have enough "soup". Chill.
The circles are just cut out of pie dough.
Fried and sprinkled with cinnamon (⅓) and sugar.
Slice strawberries, add sugar, add more sugar, and perhaps more. Done. This one is so easy that I spent much more effort on the garnish. Fried cinnamon circles and a dollop of Mascarpone Cheese give it extra flavors and production value. No one will ever know how simple this was to make. I won't tell, if you don't.
Classic Variation: To make it traditional Italian, add splash of really good Balsamic Vinegar (or the regular stuff, greatly reduced) and fresh ground black pepper.
